Move over brushed nickel and watch out oil rubbed bronze, there’s a new timeless trend in town!
Kohler Matte Black Fixtures
At this years KBIS, Kohler Company unveiled a new lineup of fixture finishes. From their new Vibrant Ombré that transitions from light to dark, to classic Vibrant Rose Gold that offers a warm finish with a blush hue, they continue to bring new and innovative ideas to kitchens and baths.
Our favorite new trend for 2019 though: Matte Black. Coined by Kohler as edgy and masculine, this new finish makes a solid, strong statement wherever it’s used. From industrially inspired master showers to farmhouse kitchens, you can rest assured that black is back.
Benefits of Matte Black Finishes
Matte Black isn’t just about creating drama. It’s about making life more drama-free as well. Its cleanliness and ease of decorating makes Matte Black an easy choice. Here’s a few of our favorite reasons why:
- Smudge resistant and less prone to water spotting than shiny finishes, Matte Black keeps a clean look no matter where it’s used
- Matte Black finishes don’t require any special cleaners or polishes
- Black goes with everything, giving you the ability to pair with other colors and finishes without fear of clashing
- It’s easy to add high-contrast combinations to create drama where you want it, and simplicity where you don’t
And, while trends like gold and chrome fade over time, we believe that Matte Black finishes are here to stand the test of time. Like the little black dress, it’s always going to be in style.
Matte Black Fixtures in Our Newest Model Home
This year’s Parade of Homes model, The Harper, has a very special lower level with all the dramatic touches that Matte Black finish provides! Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll see in the Harper’s lower level bath.
With French-inspired design, the dramatic features in this bath pair with simplicity to create perfect balance. We’ve chosen to use the Matte Black fixtures to create a real statement, installed against creamy white oversized brick joint subway tile set in charcoal grout. The frameless French Linea door mimics an industrial look for him, while a floral patterned tile floor adds elegance for her. Kohler Purist fixtures throughout the space are simple and cool, while a touch of warmth is added with the farmhouse vanity.
We hope you can join us at the 2019 Parade of Homes, and invite you to enjoy all that The Harper has to offer!
